ABOUT US
The Company and Core Values

At Alexander Timber Designs, we bring expert craftsmanship and creative passion to every project—delivering high-end timberwork at fair prices. Our commitment to quality starts with using locally sourced timber from Larch Hills, partnering with skilled local tradespeople, and repurposing onsite or reclaimed materials whenever possible.
We believe in building stronger communities, not just structures. That’s why we buy local, volunteer local, and stay local.

Keeping it small, keeping it simple.

Soon, we’ll be offering hands-on workshops in timber frame construction and other traditional woodworking skills—empowering our community to craft with confidence.

Let's build something lasting, together.
The Owner/Builder

At Alexander Timber Designs, every project is built with skill, precision, and a passion for craftsmanship. Led by Michael, a Red Seal Carpenter with extensive experience across residential, commercial, industrial, timber framing, and log home building, we specialize in heavy timber joinery for homes and community spaces.

With a career spanning high-end projects across Canada and England, Michael has honed his craft under the mentorship of world-class experts in traditional masonry, hard landscaping, and timber framing. His expertise ensures each structure is aesthetically refined, structurally sound, and built to last.

Guided by a deep appreciation for quality, longevity, and site-specific design, Michael blends creativity with technical excellence. Every project is crafted with strict tolerances, high aesthetic value, and a commitment to cutting no corners—delivering timber structures that stand the test of time.

Proudly serving Armstrong, Enderby, Salmon Arm, and Sicamous, Alexander Timber Designs is dedicated to keeping it local and building for the future.
Volunteering and Partnerships

Giving back has always been a core value for Michael. From an early age, he has been deeply involved in his community—whether building trails in his hometown or serving as a trumpeter for 15 years at Remembrance Day services.
Wherever Michael has lived, he has contributed his time and skills to local initiatives, including the Macauly Mountain Conservation, Calgary Folk Festival, Roots and Blues Folk Festival, and Gardom Lake Community Park, among others.

Now, through Alexander Timber Designs, Michael continues his commitment to community support by partnering with the Enderby Seniors Community, donating two days each month to assist with projects that enhance the lives of local seniors. As the company grows, new partnerships and volunteer initiatives will be integrated into its regular operations—ensuring that craftsmanship and community go hand in hand.

Proudly serving Armstrong, Enderby, Salmon Arm, and Sicamous, Alexander Timber Designs is committed to building stronger communities, one project at a time.
